Mejchar and Cerny Family History

 Frank Sr. Mejchar was born February 2, 1886 in Pocinovice.  Anna Cerny was born October 6, 1887 in Libkov, Czech, only 4.1 km apart from each other.

 

Some wonderful pictures of the Mejchar and Cerny families. Vaclav and Marketa married January 18, 1874 in Pocinovice, Czech.  I suspect that Martin and Barbora were married about 1875 in Lipkov, Czech.  The photo of Frank Sr. shows him holding his watch, earned for completing his apprenticeship in furniture making in Vienna.

Mejchar Picnic at Marx Park, August 19, 2012

On Sunday, August 19, 2012, the Mejchar families gathered at Marx Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin to celebrate our family.  Many were able to join the picnic and exchange stories, pictures, and memories.  A collection of photographs were displayed.  Many of these will be brought into this blog for all of the Mejchar Family to enjoy.

A family tree history is being documented for all to enjoy.  This is a work in progress, and requires edits and updates as new or corrected information is known.

The family  picnic held August 19, 2012 was awesome! Attended by 95 family members and organized by Kaky Gruenewald and John Mejchar (with the help of many people), the event will hopefully continue the Mejchar family traditions long into the future!
